We took our 9 month old on his first camping trip and we left feeling like family. We were greeted with a good old friendly Cape Breton wave and smile as we pulled into our very spacious lot. Want to have your 8 member family sit at the one picnic table for dinner? - Done. Want to roast s’mores in a custom fire pit after having a dip in the brook, steps away from your camp site? Done & Done. It’s truly the small little details the owners have envisioned with birch tree oasis. I googled my symptoms from 2021, turns out I just need to go camping at Avoca Birches again. If your googling as well for the best camping experience on the Cabot Trail, well buddy...look no further.

We had the pleasure of spending some time at the Avoca Birches Campground along the scenic Cabot Trail. The sites are spacious with many private sites along a rushing river that leads out to the Atlantic Ocean. We stayed in the rental trailer that was pristine & full of all amenities. 2 full bedrooms & baths, lots of room. Rustic(Unique) customized fire pits keep you toasty warm on a cool evening.our favourite spot was the beautiful beach. Some days you could see sand for miles.Spectacular sunrises & magnificent stargazing on a clear night. We loved it so much we went & bought ourselves our1st RV!! Can't wait to make some more memories at Avoca Birches!!

First of all, I have to say the passion these owners have for their beautiful property, just makes it a privilege to come and be apart of that dream and stay at Avoca Birches. For us as long time friends of Sam and Nancys, we know how much care and love they put into every inch of this beautiful birch clad place on the North Shore of Cape Breton Island. They measured out all the sites, the roads winding through the campgrounds with such care and thoughtfulness. They made sure there was ample room to park your rig and to have friends and family gather around the hand crafted monogrammed campsite fire pits or sit a crowd around the extra large homemade picnic tables, while off in the distance you can hear the crash and roar of the ocean or the babble of the brook flowing next to your site. Sam and Nancy haven’t left out one detail as they know as avid experienced campers themselves, they just know what they would want in a campground and the perfect site. Their warm hospitality and this beautiful landscape, no matter which season, will keep you returning year after year. Cheers to Sam and Nancy Grant with this new venture and adventure!
